Science and Hands-on Teaching
February 9th, 2010 by InspiredbyEducationeSchool News posted an interesting article today on a recent Columbia University study, which took a closer look at hands-on teaching skills. The study concluded that teacher’s who participated in the hands-on research programs produced a 10 percent increase in the pass rate of their students in New York state science Regents. In addition, the study indicated that there is a three- to four-fold increase in employee retention compared to the national average for experienced teachers.
