Opening Day of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair is Here!

After years of hard work and months of anticipation, the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2011, a program of Society for Science & the Public, has finally arrived! Over 1,500 of the world’s youngest scientists and innovators are in Los Angeles ready to present their revolutionary research at the world’s largest high school science fair.
These students, selected from 443 affiliate fairs in 65 countries, regions and territories, are competing for a chance at more than $4 million in prizes and scholarships. Today, as the competition kicks off and the show floor opens, students present their groundbreaking research and findings. Stay tuned for updates as the week unfolds!
