Projects that Inspire
May 29th, 2009 by InspiredbyEducationCombating Cancer: Design and Synthesis of Dual-Warhead Tumor-Targeting Drug Conjugates

Cancer is the leading cause of death for Americans under the age of 85, and it kills about 20,000 people per day worldwide. My project entails the design and synthesis of a novel tumor-targeting drug for cancer treatment. Since this drug can leave normal cells unharmed, it would not cause significant side effects. Moreover, it can attack cancer cells which are resistant to currently available chemotherapeutic agents.
