Project that Inspire
May 29th, 2009 by InspiredbyEducationThe Classification of Certain Fusion Categories

This project studies an important type of fusion categories, a class of mathematical structures of algebraic nature arising in different areas of mathematics, theoretical physics, and computer science, such as string theory, low-dimensional topology, and quantum computation. This project provides a classification of certain classes of fusion categories, which nobody knew how to classify before. These new classes of fusion categories have interesting and novel properties.
