Dr. Martin Chalfie, winner of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the discovery and development of the green fluorescent protein, GFP” which allows you to see where proteins are made and where they go, attended Intel ISEF 2009 as a Science and Technology Panelist. Dr. Chalfie wass most inspired by the finalists at Intel ISEF becuase they ”delve into problems and discover things that no one else knows in the world” – he said that these young scientists are “pioneers…doing things for the first time.” What a compliment!
